Lou Jinhai was melting in the midday Bangkok heat. The Chinese guest house the tour group had been booked into inexplicably had no fans, no windows and no thermos of boiled water for tea and instant noodles.
He wasn’t so sure he was as fond of overseas travel as he had thought he would be.
Maybe next year he and his wife would go to Hainan for Spring Festival. They had nice beaches there, apparently. There would definitely be thermoses of boiled water for tea and noodles. He knew that to be for sure.
